Managing your finances in alignment with you
Conscious finances haven't always been a part of my life.
A few years back I had no idea how to save money and I lived a life full of debt, yet I worked a thousand hours to try and get out of the rat race.
Money never led me to a better quality of life, quite the opposite. I didn’t pay enough attention to my financial choices and they were not aligned with the goals that would make me truly happy.
I lived like so many others still do nowadays: beyond my means, in a toxic and non-sustainable relationship with my finances and in constant fear of losing what little I had achieved through my hard work.
One day
I finally understood that I needed to get out of that loop. I realized that if I wanted to be happy, I needed to stop postponing my future happiness. I understood that I needed to lead the life I want, now, in the present, while making choices that would also help my future. Therefore, I decided to start questioning if the choices I was making were only because of short term financial gain. From this moment forward, I decided to start feeling as if I had already achieved my financial goals. This took off most of the pressure and allowed me to be more calm and less anxious in general.
And so it was. The change came to be.
I understood how both my past (with my main goal of getting out of the rat race through achieving financial freedom), and my more spiritual present (a word not typically associated with finances), were and had to be compatible. Moreover, in the end all of them are tools, neutral resources (money, technology, etc.) and what makes them “good” or “bad” is how we use them.
A few years later, I understood that this is what “Conscious Finances” are. A management of finances born from an awareness of what we really want in life and what we can do to achieve it. No anxiety, no greed, without living above our means, with coherence and alignment with our values, lifestyle, and needs.
From that moment forward I chose to start helping people to make changes in the way they view and experience finances, in order to improve their livesand their relationship with money.
How I work
The first thing I’ll do
Is I’ll listen to you, we’ll talk about your goals and motivations, you’ll tell me about your worries. We’ll meet up (in person or online) and chat, so that little by little we can turn that unclimbable mountain into small challenges or steps that are easier for you to face up to.
The next step will be
Helping you solve financially related problems in a close and personalized manner.
I will share my knowledge and experience with you, without technicalities, simplifying what is complex and I will use simple language to make your goals understandable and therefore, achievable.
The third step is
to come up with an action strategy and plan the necessary steps to achieve your desired goals.
You will probably need me at first, but it’s highly likely that with time you’ll start to see you've acquired enough knowledge to resolve certain topics, and I will start to become only a means of support that will be there in case of necessity or doubt.
Personalization
Every single person is unique, with different desires, goals and risk profiles. That is why my relationship with every client is also unique. I don’t have a “template answer” that works for everyone and can be replicated. Each case is unique and therefore, I’ll use everything I know and all that I’ve lived and I’ll extract whatever is best and most useful to you from it. And in the case I don’t have the answers, I will find somebody in my professional network who will.
Proximity
I like to work tête-à-tête and in an environment where you feel at home. I believe this to be the key to getting further and finding any root causes that your problems may stem from. I’ve found myself numerous times in the situation where a client will come to me and explain a specific circumstance. After a long while of talking, we’ll realize that the core of the issue was something else and what they came to me with first was only a consequence of that. Delving deeper into problems is achieved calmly and by expanding the range of conversation.
Knowledge
I help my clients to gain autonomy with their finances, simplifying complex feats and providing simple tools. My broad experience in varying fields allows me to advise with a very open and integrative perspective, which makes it easy to approach any problem from many points of view.
The benefits of working this way are many:
Efficiency
Working on the key points so that you notice changes in yourself and the way you manage your finances very soon.
Peace of mind
Knowing your case is being treated in an individual and careful way will help you sleep better.
Transparency
The revealing of certain aspects of your finances will make you feel more confident in your decision-making.
Coherence
You will witness how all the pieces of the puzzle will start to fit with your way of living and all of your goals.
You don't have to take my word for it

I have personally experienced the valuable guidance and support that Lucas Sturm has to offer. When I first started investing, I had very little knowledge or experience in the field and was feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how to move forward. Lucas took the time to thoroughly explain investing concepts to me in a way that was easy to understand and provided personalized recommendations based on my specific goals and circumstances.
